The men and women within
the Patrol Division are committed to preventing and combating crime in
the City of Macomb. The Patrol Division members are highly trained
and adept in responding to emergency situations and other calls for
service. Likewise, they are committed to a mission of preserving
the peace and protecting the public.
The Patrol Division
consists of 15 Patrol Officers, 3 Sergeants, and 3 Lieutenants who cover
the department's 3 work shifts. Within the Patrol Division are
specialized units that include Bicycle Patrol, K-9, Firearms
Instructors, and our Strategic Response Team (SRT).
The department
consistently initiates saturation patrols and special enforcement
details. Such details include, but are not limited to: Alcohol
Enforcement details, Sex Offender Registration and Compliance
operations, Speed Enforcement details, Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
patrols, Seatbelt Enforcement details, Burglary Prevention operations,
and Tobacco Compliance Enforcement details.
The Patrol Division
continues to focus on the criminal cycle and other related issues.
We use educational strategies to raise the awareness of citizens and
businesses along with enforcement actions to reduce crime.
